				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>*During a follow-up, a client who is a journalist was asking very critical questions. I said I hope you’re not doing the same when you’re on a date. She said, “But I’m a journalist. I always think this way.” I said if you were interviewing Princess Diana or Mother Teresa, would you take a softer approach? I can’t imagine too many guys would enjoying sharing life with someone who is always challenging or arguing with them. You don’t have to agree with him all the time, but think about how your strong opinions might make them feel.</p>
<p>We are all expected to make efforts to excel in our work or career, but we should avoid being defined by our jobs. We need to expend more energy cultivating empathy and other virtues, which may be more important to achieving success in life and in a relationship.</p>
