Venue recommendation for second dates

22 Ships is famous for their tapas and friendly service. It is a great spot for a second date or a date with someone you already know well. They don’t take reservations, so if you have a craving for tapas and don’t want to wait, Ham and Sherry just up the street is another good option.

If you have time to spare, you can have a drink at Koh Thai located in the same building as Ship 22 while you wait for the table.

Ho Lee Fook – Contemporary Chinese cuisine in Soho, Central

If you and your date are looking for a hip and trendy Chinese restaurant, try Ho Lee Fook. The ambiance was spot on, though it’s definitely not a place for quiet conversation. The compact menu serves up classic Chinese dishes with a new twist, adding modern flavors.

Weekend date venue: Limewood, Repulse Bay

Looking for an idyllic venue for a weekend date? The Limewood in Repulse Bay features a beachfront view, amazing cocktails, and hip music. We recommend that you get there before 5:30pm in time to enjoy the magical glow of dusk with a frozen margarita in your hand. If it’s a first or second date, plan ahead and book a table inside the restaurant, which is quieter and you can get to know each other over dinner. After dinner, talk a stroll along the beach, and let the gentle waves and shimmering stars mesmerize you. It is a great venue that will satisfy all your senses.
Must-try dishes: Coconut corn, grill whole sea bass, beef rib. Dessert: grill pineapple with coconut.

Address: The Pulse Shop 103 & 104, G/F, 28 Beach Road, Repluse Bay.

Morton’s of Chicago – The Steakhouse/Bar Bites

Beef up your date with a visit to Morton’s. It has world-class harbour views and top-notch service to match. If your date is a light eater and prefer a more casual environment, their lounge Bar Bites might be a better choice. You can order delicious appetizers prepared by Morton’s kitchen while enjoying a nice glass of wine or cocktail.

Ham & Sherry

Ham & Sherry is a delightful little Spanish restaurant in Wan Chai with a distinctive blue and white mosaic-tiled front. As the name suggests, they are famous for their ham and large selection of sherries. If you’re meeting there for a first date, you can start small with just a drink and a couple of dishes of tapas. Then as you get a feel for how the evening is going, you can order more, or ask for the check.
